Volunteers for Reopening
Volunteers Needed – We need volunteers to assist with various aspects of our parish reopening plan. We ask all of you who are from high school age to under 65 and are healthy with no underlying health conditions to consider assisting with funerals, baptisms, weddings, reconciliation, and daily or Sunday Masses. We are currently in Phase 1 and 1A of the Archdiocesan Reopening plan.
The Church's seating capacity currently allows 50 in accordance with Multiphased Reopning Plans from both the Archdiocese of Chicago and the State of Illinois.
Funerals are usually held Monday- Saturday (Except Thursday) at 10 AM.
Weddings are held on Saturday afternoons.
English baptisms are held after the Sunday 10:00 am Mass & Spanish baptisms after the 12:30 pm mass.
Reconciliation takes place on Saturdays from 3:30 to 4:45 PM.
Volunteers may be needed to set up, greet, check off attendees, manage the flow of congregants, direct people to seating, usher, clean, and sanitize the worship space. You must wear a mask at all times and practice social distancing. We will provide masks if you need one and approved cleaning supplies.
All volunteers must understand that even with precautions, we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to Covid–19. All volunteers must attend a training and be certfied. Please submit the Online Form to indicate your willingness and ability to volunteer, and the days of the week and times of the day that are best for you. This is a massive undertaking and many hands make light work. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP!
**PLEASE WATCH THE VOLUNTEER CERTIFICATION VIDEO BEFORE REGISTERING AS A VOLUNTEER. THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FROM THE ARCHDIOCESE.**
